*** UPDATE ***
Like I said, the seller has responded in both messaging and posting on here admitting that he DID IN FACT change parts in the gun (He states that just the triggers in the FCU have been exchanged and the serial numbers still match) without disclosing it in his ad. Now if you’re OK with someone else putting a cheaper and less desirable trigger in the gun you’re buying (there is also the argument that this will also significantly hurt resale value as well) without disclosing it, then by all means deal with him with confidence.
Personally I’m seeing more sellers (typically the flipper crowd) do this stuff and then playing innocent when caught. I’m just here to inform and state facts because he knows damn well that this is a big deal to most people, and a shady move in my opinion. I’m not telling anyone to buy or don’t buy from him, but if his move is to deflect and attack me to take the focus off that he did change original parts for cheaper parts without mentioning it seems like everything you need to know to make a decision.
I will continue to post about shady and less than transparent dealings as I see them happen, so if you’re a seller that’s upset with me, it’s because your not being honest in your ad. I don’t post without reason, so I don’t care if you call me a whiner, your personal feelings about me are not relevant, and my posts shouldn’t affect your sale if you’re in the right on this.
I keep seeing people misrepresenting products on here so I will point out why anything this guy sells should be carefully inspected before purchasing. Jose1216 Is selling a P320 that’s stated as an Sig Sauer P320 XCompact, which initially looks like it’s legit, but I believe the Xseries FCU has been replaced with a standard FCU. I would compare the serial number on the factory label on the side of XCompact labeled case (should be labeled as an P320 XCompact Nitron) to the serial number of the curved trigger FCU in the gun, because I’m willing to bet they don’t match. Xcompact FCUs are more expensive, have different internal components with a lighter trigger break, and have a flat trigger rather than the standard curved one. (My guess is that the X series FCU is in the other P320 he’s trying to sell and the regular FCU that came with that gun is in this one)
Ask yourself if you really want to do business with someone who alters or cobbles parts together from more than one gun and fails to disclose this in the ad or represents it as a model it’s not.
